A Basic Hand Embroidery Demo on Pambansang Almusal

Last week I received a private message from Ms. Phoebe Publico on instagram. Ms. Phoebe is one of the hosts of Net25’s morning show Pambansang Almusal. The message is an invitation for a guesting on their show to do a basic hand embroidery demo. That wasn’t an ordinary message and I was surprised and have to reread if I read it right. And most instantly called my husband read the message to him. He was so excited for me but me, on the other hand, was already nervous, haha.

I am nervous because that was on cam and live thing. I would say I’m really a shy-type person and speaking in front of people is not my thing. I recall that I get really nervous and have sweaty cold hands when I recite during my schooling years. So, this is something that would significantly challenge me. But, of course at the same time, which I can’t deny that this is something exciting and really flattering for me.

I received the formal invitation letter and behold I am available for the schedule they suggested. I replied a yes and fast forward to Thurday morning (Sept 19) I found myself at the set with my husband. It was a wonderful experience and I was surprised with myself that I was able to demonstrate the stitches just fine, I believe. It was great to finally meet Ms. Phoebe and her co-host Ms. Kristel. They were warm and we have a great time to have a little chitchat after.

If there’s any take away from last Thursday is that it’s always wonderful to share your knowledge and something you love and to see people’s appreciation and gladness to see your work is really humbling and inspiring to continue what what you’re doing, how big or small that is. ✨

I thank the Lord for this opportunity, more than anything else; this is going out of my comfort zone and He gave me strength and the resources to do so. As always the support, sacrifices and faith that my husband has for me can’t be taken out for me to do things heartily and excellently. 💖
