Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

~Proverbs 31:30‬

‭March is widely celebrated as International Women’s Month around the world. Everywhere in social media, we can find campaigns, graphics, quotes, etc. that discuss women empowerment and showcase women’s achievements. With how far this movement has achieved, I’ve observed how women can be caught up with their environment and be what the media says they should be or look like to be.

I think our true identity as a woman is defined and strengthened in the Lord, the maker of our very being. As Proverbs 31:30 writes about charm and beauty, these two things that women tend to depend on, are not pure motives and not really necessary for us to have a fulfilled life. But only in the Lord, by having a humble heart that fears Him. Taking into account the context of the whole chapter, not only such a woman is blessed, but also a real blessing.

May you’ll be blessed in everything that you do and be a blessing to others too! 😊🌻

Heartily yours,
Sarrah 💛
