Happy new year everyone!! 🎊 Wow, it’s already 2020!! 😮 2019 had been so swift and yet really sweet. I would like to give a little retrospect of what the past year has been for me and things that I’m looking forward to this new year.
A Year in Review
My arts and crafts journey was something so unexpected. It really flourished beyond what I originally imagined it would. <3
There had been workshops after workshops nearing the last quarter of the year. I was overwhelmed by the people who attended and showed their interest with this craft. I also gained friends and had a great time with them while teaching, which is really precious than the monetary profit.
Being invited also for a TV guesting at Net25 was really way way far out that I imagine could happen. But, it was overall a pleasant experience. Sharing my knowledge and love for hand embroidery not only to people near me, but also to people nationwide and offshore is really an honor and an opportunity I will never forget.
Along with meeting new people, I also get to meet embroidery artists alike and other crafters, locally and online. And to be able to be part of an exhibit and have my work displayed for the public to see is definitely an achievement for me.
My crafts journey will not be in its essence “blossoming” without the handiwork, wherein I am able to express my love for arts and crafts. I was pleasantly surprised and touched by the friends and families who showed their support and clients (locally and internationally) who believed and were delighted in my work. May it be handmade accessories, embroidery hoop art, patterns and kits, etc. Wherein I got to the point that I had to stop accepting custom orders. I was literally celebrating when I finished and delivered my last order, just in time before me and my husband had to go on vacation. 😄✨
New Year In
In this new year that had just started I’m very much excited for new things to happen, learn more, more crafts to explore and to continue what I’ve started. Before the year ended last year I’ve had invites and ideas coming in. And I’m really excited to share them when they’ve actually materialized 😀
One of the new things that I’ll be doing is to join a pop up market and that will happen as early as January. I’ll be setting up my first booth at ASpace Poblacion, Makati, on the last weekend of this month (24th and 25th). Please stay tuned for more details and what I have in store! I might post a separate journal about it if I’ll have time.
Thanksgiving
More importantly, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported, prayed, helped and believed in me. To every client/student, to the Embroidery Enthusiast group, to partners (venue, event, etc.), to all who invited me, to friends and family. Every simple act, kind words and opportunities you presented and gave made a big impact on my crafts journey and as a person.
Deeply grateful to my husband, who was always with me and truly believed in me. And most especially thankful to God, who sustains and gave me all these blessings that I know I cannot do on my own.
My prayer and heart is that this year may be a beautiful year for everyone of you. May you gain what is good an leave behind what is not. Please let me share to you this verse:
“And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”- Colossians 1:17
Have a blessed new year to all of you! <3
