My First Hand Embroidery Hoop Art in Store!

I’ve been doing hand embroidery for quite a while now but not really that long yet, I think nearly 6 months now. It’s been more of learning the craft, trying out things, checking out materials and all. One of the things that really get me hooked is that I saw that I could be creative with it also. Not just learning and doing the stitches as good as it should be, but to get those stitches to form something beautiful. Especially with the wide selection of colors of embroidery floss available now, it’s really having a freedom on being creative through stitching.

I’m just excited that now I was able to get my imagination to life with my recent project, a hoop art as they call it, and I’m making it now available in my store also. It’s a first for me in this journey of being a stitch artist (if there’s really a term). I really enjoyed my time doing this that even my husband was surprised I was done with it already 😀 Since I only get to stitch on my spare time.

The embroidery I did is something I sketched just in time for summer, so the palette is brown. I love browns! And that’s really a personal preference even with my own stuff. Maybe because I do love earth tones? 😀 I applied the stitches I’ve learnt for the past months and being creative through plant and flower figures. The wording says “Joy Comes with the Morning”, which is an excerpt from the Psalms 30:5. The full verse says (ESV):

“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

I love the thought this gives us. Troubles, pain & suffering may be too hard for us to bear but as constant as the sun rises each morning so as God’s love for us to give us joy, hope and strength to face the day and refresh our soul. My intention for this embroidery is to remind us that each day is a new day that God gives us, a new day full of his love. ❤
