Since I started embroidery and applying it as an art for more than 2 years now, it’s great to see how it’s gaining popularity for hobbyists, enthusiasts, appreciators and even to those who makes it as a side or full time business. And now more and more people, especially in the local scene, is embracing and appreciating it as an art form more than just an embellishment in clothing and home linens. And when something is an art it becomes an expression of one’s perspective and style. And so, embroidery art should also be given a spotlight where every stitch of thriving embroidery artists is truly a stroke of expression and precision – that’s what we all believe at Embroidery Enthusiasts! 💗

To achieve this goal various ways has been done by the group to promote local embroidery artists, in any stage they’re in, and one of that is doing exhibits. On the first year that the group was formed, we’ve organized the first embroidery art exhibit in the Philippines in 2019. And for it’s second year we did it again! Since we’re in the middle of pandemic public group gatherings is still not permitted and it did not stopped us, the vmostiable plan is to shift to online means. And that’s another milestone! This event is made possible in partnership with DMC Philippines, plus more artists are participating 🎉 This exhibit is named heArt in a Hoop: A Virtual Embroidery Art Exhibit. I’m also participating where I’ll be displaying some of past and recent thread paints and mixed media hoop art! 🥰

The virtual exhibit is open for viewing for 30 days since last December 12, 2020. We are excited about this feat because it broadens our scope of audience and it’s not constrained by time. So wherever you are right now you are welcome to visit our exhibit anytime! Please see link below where you can check out our embroidery hoop art on virtual display:
